How the betting looks

The Verdict
The 4.10pm at Doncaster is almost a typical early season flat race, the 3YO's with a number having a first run. And this can make it very tricky to find the winner although the market here gives us a good indicator. Groundbreaker heads the market having had 2 runs on the all weather and showed a bit of promise. Trainer Andrew Balding knows how to get his youngsters really race ready so he looks to have a live chance here although our view is this looks very short at around even money.
First time out runners don't have the best of records in this but a few of these do come with some big names. Almuhit is out of Sea The Stars and General Idea is out of Galileo and both sires have good records on flat debutants, Almuhit looks the pick of these and is related to a number of classy winners and represents a top yard for John & Thady Gosden. General Idea is from the Haggas yard so is another who should shape well so its no surprise to see these 3 heading the betting
Surrey Knight has come in for a bit of support for trainer Charlie Fellowes and is another who is related to several winners and would surely be a popular winner for the Surrey Racing syndicate. He could be a bit of each way value at around 8/1
At the bigger priced side of the betting we have Battani looks the pick of the outsiders for trainer Ian Williams having had a couple of runs already. Seal of Solomon will probably come on for the run and Togai was unplaced on both starts. Dizzy Ed is the biggest price of the lot and was pretty disappointing on his only run back in October at 125/1 so it's hard to make a case for him
It really is a tough one to call but my pick here would be Almuhit with a small each way on Surrey Knight and take on the short priced favourite
Good Luck
