The Scottish Acca: 29th Jan

As we have no premier league games in England this weekend due to the winter break (yeah they are still doing that!) we thought we'd delve in to the Scottish Football league to see if we can find a bit of value from north of the border

Here's our thoughts

In the Scots Prem its a team I always like with the Jambos taking on Motherwell. We all know it’s a case of playing for 3rd behind the big guns so here we have 3rd vs 4th but I am going to side with the home side who can take this and really start to pull away a bit from the chasing pack. They already sit 7 points ahead of their guests for the day and with a pretty strong home record I‘m taking them to add to that at 4/6

In the Championship we have another top of the table clash as Kilmarnock (3rd) host Inverness (in 2nd). I’m siding with the home side here as the momentum seems to be with them. Killie have taken 8 points from their last 5 compared to just 4 for the Callie. This is a hard league to call though but at 21/20 this looks too tempting to ignore

Into League 1 and Cove top the table and take on 2nd bottom Dumbarton, Cove are generally quite strong away from home and Dumbarton have been very poor at home. 3/5 for the league leaders, I’ll have a bit of that based on those stats

And last up it’s Annan who take on Stirling and even money for the home team here looks and absolute steal. The home side have won 3 and drawn 2 of their last 5 compared with Stirling who have only picked up 4 points in their last 10 games! A nice home win here could round off a cheeky little acca at around 10/1
