The Hot Picks: 21st May

With most of the European leagues either finished or winding up this weekend, it's the last throw of the proverbial dice for us with this season Hot Picks here on The Cheeky Punts

And we go to Europe for the final round of games in Italy and France starting with Lazio at home to Verona. The home side look to be guaranteed 5th spot, just above Roma, and they have a pretty solid home record so will be looking to sign off with a win in front of their own fans

Off to France for the next 2 games and Brest are only just shy of even money at home to bottom placed Bordeaux. They will be relegated on Sunday no matter what the result and there have been no signs to suggest they will go out with a bang. I suspect they’ll go down with a whimper and round off a poor season with another defeat

At the other of the table Rennes have had a pretty good season and currently sit in 4th spot but have a few teams behind in the chasing pack. They have plenty to play for with a Europa spot on offer so I think they can get the job done against a Lille side sitting mid table with nothing on this game

The final games of a season are always hard to predict but at nearly 5/1, we’ll see if our hot picks can deliver one more time this season
