The Guest Tipster: Tic Tac Racing
Updated: Aug 20, 2022
We have a returning guest tipster this weekend in Twitters Tic Tac Racing. It’s a big day for him too in the Dandinap tipping comp as he’s down to the last 16 in the Cup (out of nearly 400 of us in the comp) which shows just how knowledgeable he is! Let’s have a look at what he likes the look of today
15.00 York ROHAAN 7/1 EW
A value play in an open looking group 2. Rohaan finished 4th LTO in the group 1 Prix Maurice De Gheest over in France won by Highfield Princess who followed up in the Nunthorpe yesterday. He was beaten around a length and always shapes as if he wants further than 6f. Always doing best work at finish such as when winning the Wokingham at Ascot off a mammoth weight, he deserves his chance in this today and looks a good opportunity to gain another group level success again in an open enough looking race.
14.05 Sandown POTAPOVA 16/1 EW 4pl
Stoute has won this race 5 times in the last 15 years and 3 of the last 10. He sends this one to war which could be interesting at the prices in an each way heat. Form has dipped the last twice including at the Curragh in a group 2 LTO but you could excuse this if issues with travelling and such. After all they are fillies and likely “divas” to an extent being females. Time before well beaten at Newcastle over 1m2f in a group 3 but did go off 5/2f. Clearly better is expected and overall she has form to mix it with majority of these. Given her connections in this race I feel at the price it’s worth a go to see if she can deliver on this stage today.
15.50 Sandown DUAL IDENTITY 12/1 EW 5pl
Up in grade today and also up 6lb but a LTO CnD winner who looks to be on an upward curve. Lots to like about the way he won there and the form has been franked since with the 2nd and 4th winning and a few places about including in higher grades. At the prices although upped in class could be worth a shout for me with 5places on offer.
15.40 Chester BULLACE 9/1 EW 4pl
Has dropped 12lb since the start of the season and threatened LTO off this mark but ran freely and dropped away late on. Carried welter burdens in the last 2 races and though this is tougher does have a kinder weight to carry today. He has the box seat here in 1 and if they let him stride on he clearly is expected to progress from this mark now. Trainer does well with limited runners he sends up this way, 1 of 2 runners for him. 16/70 23% in the last 5 years. Hopefully trying today, and if so clearly has the a chance at a decent price with the 4 places on offer.
I have also studied the Melrose and Ebor at York but have had to keep these under lock and key. The 2 races in the Handicap Comp on Twitter and the Ebor is the last 16 round match in the cup today so clearly a tactical play. All fun and games. It must be fun
Good Luck
Want to have a daily platform to post your tips? Then why not come and join us as a daily racing tipster (Monday to Friday). We also have regular guest tipsters if you wanted to join us without the full time commitment and spots are usually open for a Saturday on both the football and the racing
Our fully developed site is ready to go so there is no setup from you required, you will simply become a member of our team as a contributor and have a daily post which you will be able to update with your own daily punts which will then be visible for everyone to see online.
Our site is 100% free with no sign up required so to view your tips, people will simply need to go to our website. We will also create a custom link for you which you can then share on your own social media channels
Why are we doing this I hear you ask, the answer is actually a simple one. We have a fully functioning website but little content through the week. This means the weekly traffic is very low but it costs us the same regardless. We do also benefit, to be totally open & transparent, as this will help drive more traffic to the site for when we do all our weekend features too (which you would also be invited to join)
So if this sounds of interest & you’d like to become part of The Cheeky Punts team, helping us grow and offer the best free site around, the drop us a line via our social media channels or you contact us via email on thecheekypunts@gmail.com
