Only 3lb higher than last winning mark. Has been running with much credit recently without getting the breaks. Last run in the Ayr Bronze Cup was very encouraging, only beaten a length when keeping on strongly. Tends to finish with a rattle and the long straight at Haydock should suit. Sole visit to this course can be ignored as it was an apprentice race where race unravelled. Will benefit from having one of the most experienced jockeys in racing with Franny Norton in the saddle. 

4.05 Market Rasen

Snookered 25/1

Looks overpriced considering he's race fitter than most of these. Performance of last run was better than the finishing position suggests, only 9 lengths off winner. Won on penultimate run at this trip and ground conditions, clocking up a career best speed figure and one that trumps others in this field. Claiming jockey taking off 3lb aids cause. 

5.05 Curragh

Has been extremely consistent, winning twice and placing 4 times in last 6 runs. Handicapper has potentially been harsh with a 7lb penalty for last success winning by half a length. This selection always looks to have plenty in hand when travelling and it should be a case of jockey getting the fractions right to finish strongly at business end of race.
