The Guest Tipster: 2nd Apr

This week we have another new guest tipster joining us, @Stevetips gives us his thoughts on the day north of the border at Ayr. Let's take a look at what he fancies

Couple of 'Tips' from me for Ayr tomorrow, let's be honest this is a very tough card and most 'tipsters' are throwing darts at it or looking for anything turning blue on Oddschecker. I can assure you these selections are picked on pure gut feeling and occasionally from watching a race or two

Ayr 1:50 - The Golden Rebel (13/2)

Was leading and travelling strongly in a race at Doncaster back in January until falling at the 9th. Beakstown, who The Golden Rebel had seemingly put to bed in that race, finished second on the day but went and franked the form today by winning at Ayr in the 3:30.

Ayr 2:25 - Barrichello (15/2)

This is more of a pick from the heart rather than the head due to owning a very small part of it through The Owners Group. That said, he has had some pretty decent form coming into this race and the Jockey and Trainer combo of Brian Hughes for Donald McCain gives me more than a little enthusiasm for a big race.

Ayr 3:30 (The Scottish National) - The Wolf (14/1)

Nice and easy race to pick one from and I know this has been tipped in several quarters already so I will get no points for originality but I feel he is an out and out stayer who will relish getting stuck in if the ground gets a bit deeper overnight. Most firms are offering generous extra places on this race so worth an each way shout at double figure prices.

Ayr 4:45 - Better Getalong (14/1)

Beaten last time out by Ned Tanner who I was very impressed with on the day and took some relief in the fact Better Getalong never seemed to be fully settled throughout and running in snatches which in my book means there's plenty more to come should he get his head together.

Prices correct on Bet365 as of Friday evening (about 8:45) and a 20p each way Lucky 15 (£6.00) would return the very generous £4,187.22 for 4 winners.

Good luck to everyone having a bet and remember it should always be fun.
