Saturdays Selections

14:25 Newbury – ELDORADO ALLEN

Trainer: Joe Tizzard  Jockey: Paddy Brennan

This looks like an excellent opportunity for ELDORADO ALLEN, to get another victory on his impressive resume.

He has been extremely consistent in the last couple of years, boasting form figures of 132137224, all in Class 1 races. That is no easy task but he always seems to produce big runs in these races.

Having won over course and distance this time last year, the conditions on Saturday should suit and the experienced Paddy Brennan keeps the ride, having ridden him the last 9 times.

In his last few races he has unfortunately bumped into some top quality horses, in the likes of Bravesmanhame and Protekorat. This race, however, is a different story and, in my eyes, a very winnable. The main danger will probably come from Paul Nicholls’ horse, Hitman but I’m hoping Eldorado Allen will just have the slight edge on him.

If Paddy can get him just behind the leaders, into a nice rhythm over the fences, I can’t see any reason why he wouldn’t be fighting it out at the line for the victory.

15:00 Newbury – GREANETEEN

Trainer: Paul Nicholls  Jockey: Harry Cobden

Now, this selection isn’t the most imaginative pick in the world but, if getting round safely, I can see an impressive win here for GREANETEEN.

Having finishing second in the Tingle Creek in December(Sandown), behind Edwardstone by 9 lengths. That has turned out to be really good form and anyone that comes second to Edwardstone is a decent horse.

Now dropped a pound for that performance, this is the perfect opportunity to add win number 11 to his CV.

I’m hoping Elixir De Nutz will make the running, with Greaneteen just behind, and then turning up the pressure down the home straight for the win.

16:10 Newbury – HOLETOWN HERO

Trainer: Paul Nicholls  Jockey: Harry Cobden

I normally prefer to stay away from novices races, there’s always that one unexposed horse that completely outruns everyone’s expectations.

Saying that, the more I look at this race, the more I can’t leave out HOLETOWN HERO.

Watching him win impressively in his last two races at Taunton under Harry Cobden, this is a excellent opportunity to bring up the hattrick at Newbury on Saturday.

The combination of Paul Nicholls and Harry Cobden also have a particular good record at the course over hurdles.

Good luck & hopefully we can find a few winners for the day

Want to have a daily platform to post your tips? Then why not come and join us as a daily racing tipster (Monday to Friday). We also have regular guest tipsters if you wanted to join us without the full time commitment and spots are usually open for a Saturday on both the football and the racing

Our fully developed site is ready to go so there is no setup from you required, you will simply become a member of our team as a contributor and have a daily post which you will be able to update with your own daily punts which will then be visible for everyone to see online.

Our site is 100% free with no sign up required so to view your tips, people will simply need to go to our website. We will also create a custom link for you which you can then share on your own social media channels

Why are we doing this I hear you ask, the answer is actually a simple one. We have a fully functioning website but little content through the week. This means the weekly traffic is very low but it costs us the same regardless. We do also benefit, to be totally open & transparent, as this will help drive more traffic to the site for when we do all our weekend features too (which you would also be invited to join)

So if this sounds of interest & you’d like to become part of The Cheeky Punts team, helping us grow and offer the best free site around, the drop us a line via our social media channels or you contact us via email on
