The Dublin Racing Festival: 5th Feb

With 2 great days racing over the weekend, Leopardstown in Dublin hosts 8 grade 1 races with over €2m of prize money up for grabs. We will also get to see some of the top talent that will no doubt be at the Cheltenham festival in 6 weeks time

We take a look at some of the best bets for the days here for you on The Cheeky Punts

First up I’m going for the Blackmore factor in a competitive looking opener. Grand Jury has a big task taking on Gordon Elliotts Hollow Games who lost the unbeaten record last time but could easily bounce back here. Our charge looks an improver tho so can hopefully go close at a decent price

In the 2.10pm I’m taking on another favourite in Blue Lord with the so called second string. Haut En Coloeurs looks to be potentially quite an exciting prospect having won comfortably on his first start over the bigger obstacle. That was in the back of a pretty good year over hurdles so there looks to be bags of potential here

24 go to post in the 2.45pm so I’m taking a bit of an each way punt on Enjoy D’allen right down at the bottom of the weights. He has been chasing more recently and would probably appreciate it if this becomes a bit of a slog but he should stay and with 7 places on offer, could be decent each way value

And last for the day from the Emerald Isle we have Exit Poll in the 3.50pm. This course & distance winner should give another good account here and can defy top weight to go close at around 4/1

Don't forget you can find more from us at The Cheeky Punts for day on https://www.thecheekypunts.co.uk/horseracing

And good luck whatever you are backing
