TAK Racing: 12th Nov
We have one of our regulars returning this week and the current leader in our £100 Challenge, TAK Racing. Let's have a look at what he fancies for Saturday
Cheltenham, Saturday 12th November 🚨
12.35… I’ve struggled to get too excited about the racing here but I’ve found a few horses I’m happy to bet. SCRIPTWRITER for the Milton Harris yard put in an impressive performance on debut recently at Sedgefield and expected improvement in this much sterner test I can see him pushing the Nicholls fav very close with race fitness on our side.
1.10… I like the look of BRAVE WAY for Henry de Bromhead in this amateur jockeys handicap chase. Already won over this distance and on good ground which she gets again here. The 7 year old looks to have plenty of potential to keep progressing off her mark of 126 and could have a big season ahead.
2.20… I’m going to take a chance here that GA LAW can back up his solid 3rd at Aintree which came after a 20 month lay off. If he can then that run will have put him spot on for this Paddy Power Gold cup Handicap Chase. He’s a lightly raced 6 year old so has plenty of mileage left in him and I’d imagine trainer Jamie Snowden has purposely taken his time with him.
2.55… I’ve missed any kind of each way price on PADDLEYOUROWNCANOE for the Skeltons here but if he’s ready to go like you’d fully expect him to be then his hurdles handicap mark (which is 12lb lower than his last run over hurdles) could be very exploitable here and he’s in the right hands for it! This 3 mile trip is ideal and he’s my NAP of the day.
3.30… I’m siding with Nicky Henderson’s WISEGUY in this. He’s making his handicap debut here with plenty of scope for improvement based on what he achieved last season. The only question mark would be race fitness coming off a 337 day break but it shouldn’t be an issue.
4.05… I’m ignoring the bigger names at the top of the market here and going with Mark Walford’s mare RUBY ISLAND who impressed me on her recent 2nd at Aintree and with an extra few yards and probably a little more fitness she would’ve won that day. I’ve a feeling she can take this step up in class in her stride and at around 18/1 I’m happy to play each way in this tricky looking bumper race.
