4.30 Albany Stakes

One that caught my eye when winning on debut was CATHY COME HOME for Karl Burke when winning at Musselburgh. Visually impressive albeit in an average looking maiden but could not have won much easier. Was not extended and didn't get out of second gear, merely pushed out. Whilst the bare form will need improving on for this, the trainers runner notoriously usually do so from one run to the second. Dandalla who won this race in 2020 for the trainer, came here after winning on debut so he knows what is required to win this and interesting that this is his only representative. It's also his first in the race since 2020, no runner last year so clearly he doesn't send without a chance. 18/1 EW 4 PLACES

15.05 Commonwealth Cup

This looks like a red hot race and would be hard to be confident in one so it's only natural to look for some value and low risk and potential high reward. I could quite easily back the top 3 in the market and the attraction is quite obvious. El Caballo won in determined fashion LTO and does it the hard way, he is as game as they come with the talent he has though It's hard to see him fend this competition off over this stiff 6f. EHRAZ is one I would sooner back and this scenario is likely to suit him better. To me he looks like he has scope for improvement and could end up being top class and will enjoy this lightning quick ground. He also appears to have a favourable draw. 11/2 EW 5 PLACES

At the bigger prices, FLOTUS has been overlooked in my opinion. She has been beaten twice this season in listed races but the form of the LTO close 2nd has since been boosted with the 3rd winning a listed race and the 7th winning a class 2 handicap off 99. She was well beaten last year in the Albany but that was on heavy ground and she will appreciate this fast ground more. Her stand out run from last year, runner up to Tenebrism in the Cheveley Park Stakes at HQ commands respect here. 40/1 EW 5 PLACES

15.40 Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes

CONTACT 9/1 EW - CEMHAAN 16/1 EW 6 PLACES

16.20 Coronation Stakes

TENEBRISM 12/1 EW 4 places

Went off 11/4f for the 1000 Guineas but was disappointing, however she looks a value bet here to me to bounce back. She came from the rear of the field in the Guineas and no one was getting to the pacesetters that day. Connections clearly feel that she’s retained her ability and will stay this trip hence entering her in this. Ryan Moore has silenced the critics and is riding the crest of a wave so hopefully this one is ready to roll. Looks a big price for one with so much potential after only 3 starts so far. Holds multiple group 1 entries and still could be the real deal and at the prices I’m happy to take a chance she is.

17.00 Sandringham Stakes

CRENELLE 11/1 - WASHRAA 20/1 EW 7pl

17.35 King Edward Stakes

Ottoman Fleet 2/1 win

18.10 Palace Of Holyroodhouse Stakes

Sterling Knight 12/1 - Romantic Time 33/1 EW 7 PLACES
