#OddsKnows Racing Preview: 3rd Dec

Updated: Dec 3, 2022

As usual we have our weekend preview with action this week coming from Sandown, Aintree, Chepstow and Wetherby plus the all weather action from Wolverhampton under the lights

Our man #OddsKnows takes a look at the best of all the action today here for you on The Cheeky Punts plus don't forget to check out the #OddsKnows Nap which you can find here as well as the latest across all our racing pages.

Whilst there are a few well fancied horses out today, including the returning Shishkin (providing he does actually run!) you can find our favs treble here but I've also picked out my selections for the day with some more tasty prices for us

And we start at Aintree with the 12.55pm where I'm willing to take on Dixon Cove (who was very nearly in our Lay of the Day) with Obsessedwithyou at around 13/2. She won on her only run to date at Wetherby making all and jumping fairly soundly with a cosy near 10 length victory. She is also a sister to a winning French Hurdler so whilst its hard to judge on that run alone, there could be more to come from her and she looks worth a cheeky punt against the short priced fav.

The Becher chase looks wide open and I'm going to side here with Ashtown Lad for the Skeltons. He ran ok in the Scottish National before running out of steam a bit and wasn't disgraced when 3rd back at Aintree last month (behind Remastered and Milan Bridge). Todays trip should suit a bit better and I expect them to go a decent gallop but he does have a bit to prove, however he could also be quite well treated at todays weights.

I'm a huge fan of Snow Leopardess and would love to see her back up there but its a big ask as it may be as well for Hill Sixteen at the weights. Both could be good each way plays though with 7 places on offer with Skybet

Off to Sandown next and I've just the one selection here for the day, Playful Saint in the 2.20pm. Love Envoi will go off a solid looking favourite and showed her class last term, including the win at the Cheltenham Festival, but this could be the day to take her on coming back fresh. Our charge is pretty lightly raced and whilst he was a touch disappointing last time out, I think he could be a real danger here particularly with that last run under his belt. He looked like he may have needed that run and trainer Dan Skelton will have him primed for this one today

Away from the main meetings of the day my other selections for the day come from Chepstow and Wetherby with Chirico Vallis looking the pick of the day at Wetherby. He goes well fresh and could well make all in the 1.23pm. If he gets in to a rhythm, he could be hard to catch.

Over at Chepstow the big race of the day is the Welsh National trial and I'm going to take an each way punt here on Time to get Up. He is still relatively unexposed but looks a proven stayer, the only concern being that he may actually want more than the near 3m here today. I expect him to be staying on though and in the mix for the place money at least

Good Luck whatever you are backing and don't forget you can follow me
