#OddsKnows Racing Preview: 25th Feb

Updated: Feb 25, 2023

As usual we have our weekend preview first up with the action coming from Kempton, Newcastle & Chepstow plus the all weather action from Lingfield and then Chelmsford under the lights

Our man #OddsKnows takes a look at the best of all the action for you on The Cheeky Punts plus don't forget to check out the #OddsKnows Nap which you can find here as well as the latest across all our racing pages.

We start with Skybet Money Back race which comes on a big day on the All Weather at Lingfield. The race in question is the 1.30pm and its a very open looking one where a case can be made for quite a few of the AW regulars but I am going to take a bit of a punt here on Look out Louis. He is a 7YO now but has a decent AW record although goes to Lingfield here for the first time. I'm hoping this may actually suit as he has bags of speed and this should be a fast and furious sprint. He comes out of stall 3 and all the fancied runners go low here so this should suit if he can get out well and I expect him to put in a bold showing

Over at Kempton next and Rare Middleton is the one that catches the eye in the 1.50pm from the maestro Paul Nicholls. The great man has said this has been the target and how he does will determine the route to go at for Cheltenham so I'm expecting him to be bang up there. Next in the 3pm we have a good looking Coral Trophy where Cap Du Nord makes a swift re-appearance after winning at Ascot last Saturday. There was a lot to like about that win but I think this may just come too quick on the back of that and Our Power can be the one to capitalise. Sam Twiston-Davies takes the mount for Sam Thomas's 8YO and he was also a winner last time out so there could be more to come from him here

Down at Chepstow I'm going for Go Dante in the 1.57pm and a 5th LTO may have been a good pipe opener for this. He looked a potential smart one last season and Olly Murphys charge can hopefully get back to winning ways here today. Sticking with Chepstow and another I like here in the 3.45pm with Destined to Shine. We only have 6 runners here but arguably any of 5 could win it (with Tiger Voice a huge outsider) so its a competitive one but our charge won this last year and hopefully can get a repeat here today

Up to Newcastle for a few selections now and Blue Fin has been knocking on the door so has a good chance to open his account here in the 2.53pm before the big race of the day which comes up at 3.25pm. The Eider Chase see's 14 runners taking on a 4m+ slog and proven stayer, and the very likeable Kitty's Light looks set to be all the rage here and trainer Christian Williams proved himself a bit of a master at these true staying tests. Our charge is another of those proven stayers and whilst a touch short for this, I think he takes the beating

The Each Way Punts

There looks to be some good each way opportunities today and at the bigger I like Dubrovnik Harry down at Chepstow who could run well and as a bit of a cheeky punt I also think Generous Day could outrun big odds in the 4.45pm at Kempton
