#OddsKnows Racing Preview: 1st Jan
As a bonus for the New Year bank holiday so we an additional day of previews for you with the New Years Day racing at Cheltenham, Musselburgh, Fakenham, Exeter and Catterick plus an all weather card at Southwell
Our man #OddsKnows takes a look at the best of all the action for you on The Cheeky Punts plus don't forget to check the latest across all our racing pages with the ITV7 also up for grabs
And we start the New Year with a good looking day at Cheltenham and my first selection of the day here comes in the 12.45pm where I like Java Point. He had a nice pipe opener at Newbury when finishing 3rd but had a very good record earlier in the year with 3 wins from 4. The only blemish on that was a 3rd at Cheltenham but that experience could come in handy here today and he looks a solid each way shot at around 13/2
Next up its a bit of a cliff horse of mine in Il Ridoto at 1.55pm. I've followed this horse for a while now and I think there could be more to come from this very smart 6YO for the maestro Paul Nicholls. At around 7/1 he looks well worth another cheeky punt and hopefully today is the day he shows some of that potential
And last up from me is another one I think has a strong each way shout in the 3.05pm with Hector Javilex. He was a solid 4th here over 2m5f and has run over todays trip before so I think it should suit. Young Lilly Pinchin is onboard claiming 3lb and with a very competitive looking field I'm hoping she can get a good position to come up that hill for us!
