#OddsKnows Racing Preview: 11th June

Updated: Jun 11, 2022

As usual we have our weekend preview with the action this week coming from York, Chester Sandown and Bath. Over the jumps we've got action from Hexham and the evening racing comes from Leicester with Worcester over the sticks.

Our man #OddsKnows once again takes a look at the best of all the action here for you on The Cheeky Punts and don't forget to check out the #OddsKnows Nap which you can find here as well as all the latest from our days picks on our racing pages

We start as usual with our money back race on Skybet and its a pretty open looking race but the nod here goes to Mapplewood for the Goldolphin team. Adam Kirby takes the ride here today and he steps back up in trip for this competitive 1m1f opener. 4/1 looks a fair price and he should hopefully be bang up there

At 2.15pm Sheer Rocks has come in for a bit of support as we look to take on the short priced fav in Encouraged. He is seeking a hattrick but our boy had 2 very good wins before being outclassed LTO at Epsom. With only 7 runners now the e/w is down to top 2 only, which is a touch annoying, but he can be up there so there could still be a bit of value in the e/w for the more cautious.

The 3.25S sees another good looking race and I'm going with young Harry Davies here who is onboard Saaheq. He won this last year although can be a little temperamental so the talented youngster will need to get the best out of him. If he does though, he should be bang up there come the shakeup

The 4pm pick is one that went in to my tracker after an eye catching run at Newbury (over 6f) when finishing like a train. The extra furlong here should therefore suit and I'd expect another bold, late run from him here although both Golden Voice and Lethal Nymph could be hard to catch and pass so at around 13/2 this looks good each way value

And in the last at 5.10pm Dancing Harry was also engaged yesterday at York but skipped that to come here today instead and can give a good account here. He won here last year and has a pretty solid record at this track so he should be in the mix again for this one

For those who love the big prices (and we had a 50/1 beaten in a photo during the week!) I've a really speculative punt in the 4.35pm in Royal Thunder. He's just the one AW run to his name so its a small stakes only but I think he's a shot at a place in this one

Off to York next and we start with the 2pm where Kingsofthemidlands goes for the inform Balding team. He did run a bit too freely LTO so in this female amateur jockeys race we'll need Miss Molly Landau to really settle him in a bit. If she can, then I think she will be in a great spot to challenge for this one.

The NB goes to Challet in the 2.35pm who ran well when 3rd here over C&D and has plenty of good York form to his name. The hattrick seeking Boardman and Maywake, who is also on a winning streak, both look real dangers and there should be a good pace on here which should make this a good race to watch. And hopefully we'll be right up there at the shakeup

At a bigger price I'm looking to take on an even money favourite and a Godolphin 2YO but I'm hoping the race experience of Nothcliff can be put to good effect here. The Dandy Man colt was 2nd here over C&D and not disgraced when beaten by a smart looking type so 11/1 looks worth an each way punt to take on the big guns

The 3.40pm is the first of 2 big runner races of the day at York and its also the latest round of the Dandinap competition so I'm going for Roach Power and Watchya in this one. I really like the look of Roach Power who is yet to win but looks potentially well in and is a half brother to Art Power for the Easterbys. The quicker ground today and what I think could be a handy draw given the likely pace scenario makes him my main pick for this one.

Watchya has the wily Jim Crowley onboard and he looks still pretty unexposed but has already made it 2 wins from 3 this year. He has gone up as a result but this may not be enough to stop him yet so he looks a good each way punt at 20/1 with 6 places on offer.

Honourable mentions too here to Harry Three and Atomic Lady who I think could both be in the places and at a big price Mollie Phillips on Resilience could out run his odds of about 33/1

The last of the day at York is another big field affair with 21 due to go post so we've 6 places on offer again but I'm going for one of the favs in Runninwild. If he can settle in to this with a very strong pace likely then he can give a good account. At a bigger price I also like the look of Lezardrieux who looked like he needed the run LTO and steps back up to 6f here today. That should suit him better, having won over the trip a couple of times last year, and at 16/1 he looks worth a cheeky each way punt

The racing keeps coming for the day so just a few picks from Chester as well with the main pick here being Jm Jungle in the opener. Copper Knight is my NB in the 2.10pm and I think Bookmark can round off the day for us here with a win in the 5.05pm

We've also action down at Bath so just a couple here with Tibbie Dunbar and Mount Kosciuszko the 2 selections and over the jumps at Hexham its Merry Berry and Johnsons Blue for a bit of interest across the cards

Good Luck whatever you are backing and don't forget you can follow
